The Wall of Fame
Just three months after opening in 1991, we received a call to say high-profile clients were on their way – no names were given. When Bono walked in, the whole restaurant fell silent.
The owners warned staff not to bother the star, but after dinner, our chef at the time couldn’t resist slipping out of the kitchen and going right up to the Irish rocker’s table, to ask him to sign his plate. Happily, the singer obliged, producing the first ever exhibit for the legendary Buona Notte Wall of Fame. Today, Bono’s plate hangs among more than 300 others, signed and creatively customized by VIP diners such as Oscar-winning actor Leonardo Di Caprio, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen and top-ranking international tennis star Rafael Nadal. Come check out the latest plates to grace our walls, as this tribute to Buona Notte’s international reputation – and glam-factor – continues to grow.
